Variable Speed Drive (VSD)

BTech V Series: three-phase ac motor speed control, engineered for industrial duty.

The BTech V Series is B-TECH Devices' own-branded range of vector-control variable speed drives for three-phase AC induction motors, covering 0.75 kW to 500 kW. Every drive combines sensorless vector and V/F control, built-in PID process control, programmable I/O, RS485 Modbus RTU communication, and comprehensive motor and drive protection in a compact industrial enclosure.

Why BTech V Series

One drive family, the full power range.

Whether it's a single pump on a small line or a mill motor drawing hundreds of kilowatts, the V Series covers 0.75 kW to 500 kW from one family — so BAS can spec, install, and support your drives without mixing vendors.

  • Sensorless vector and V/F control modes, so one drive covers both constant- and variable-torque loads
  • 0-400Hz output range with adjustable acceleration and deceleration ramps
  • Built-in process PID loop for pumps, fans, and other closed-loop applications
  • Programmable digital and analog I/O, plus pulse I/O, for flexible field wiring
  • Preset multi-speed operation with onboard timers and counters
  • Simple onboard PLC with logic and math function blocks for basic automation without an external controller
  • RS485 with embedded Modbus RTU for SCADA, PLC, or BMS integration
  • Motor thermal protection, fault history logging, and critical-frequency avoidance
  • Onboard data logger and diagnostics for fast commissioning and troubleshooting

How it fits in your plant

Drive, panel, SCADA — one accountable install.

The drive is one part of the loop. BAS specs, panel-builds, and commissions the whole chain so it arrives working, not just wired.

A BTech V Series variable speed drive unit

1. The drive

A BTech V Series unit sized to the motor and the load — pump, fan, conveyor, or mill.

2. The panel

Mounted, wired, and protected inside a BAS-built MCC or panel, not left loose in a field enclosure.

Stock photo, representative only — not a BAS-built enclosure.

3. The SCADA link

Its RS485 Modbus RTU port joins your SCADA or PLC, so speed, load, and faults are visible from the control room.

Matched to your industry

Sized to the load, not just the motor.

Constant-torque (CT) loads — conveyors, mills, crushers — need full torque at low speed. Variable-torque (VT) loads — pumps, fans — don't, and running V/F control on them is where most of a VSD's energy saving comes from. BAS specs the right one for the load, not just the nameplate kW.

Industry Typical duty Example loads
Paper Mills Constant torque Winders, presses, pulpers
Sugar Constant torque Cane mills, crushers, conveyors
Food & Beverages Both Process pumps & fans (VT), conveyors & mixers (CT)
Mining Constant torque Conveyors, crushers, mills
Cement Both Kiln drives & crushers (CT), ID/FD fans (VT)
Agro-Chemicals Variable torque Process pumps, agitators
Steel Constant torque Rolling mills, cranes, conveyors
Tobacco Constant torque Processing & conveying lines
